More Variation

 

Here are more variation of the logo of her hair and the bodhran with an expression on the face

I did more experimentation here to see what it’s like with different style and shape.

I went a different approach on this one because i want to create something like her hair form an A letter and the curve on her hair forming the bohdran. the other idea was the Award metal kind of style where the two ribbon form an A around the bohdran and the shape of the bohdran also present the world, the metal and the world combine together meaning she’s a world championship.

More Variation

 

So i begin to experiment with different type of shape that can include her face and expression in it, and i wanted to keep her hair inside the icon as well because i want to create the feminine look to the logo , on the picture below I want her hair to create a round shape like a bohdran so that it can give this unique feeling of her and the Bohdran.

This is another variation where her hair serve like her hand that play the bohdran, and the one other two are variations of her hair forming a bohdran to create the negative space of the bohdran and a female body.

So according to my Client she wanted something modern and unique, when I first though of this is that she wanted a modern logo, meaning a logo that is creative and unique in it’s own way, like a negative space logo, So I begin to experiment different type of logo using a side portrait of her in one of her song. I sketched this out first so that I can design a logo from it, and to make that the picture reflect the 5 core values.

This is the side portrait of my client playing the Bodhran, i believed that her expression can be the emotional value, and that she look professional and the shape is going to be unique by using the negative space and It will be creative and lastly inspirational being to where she is an inspiration it’s not a a easy to get where she is today and look how cool she is, playing for the president and etc..

 

Client Feedback

So after receiving the feedback from the panel at college I then decided that I should contact my client to ask for her input, so I had a meeting with my client asking her for what kind of style and type of logo that she’s looking for and her respond, she does not want anything relating to Irish tradition or the Celtic look for her business, she want a fresh modern look that is unique and personal.

It’s good to know that I’m going on the right track and the panel request me to do more sketches and more variety of logos and make it unique and that it should reflect on the core values of the brand.

Logo Designs – Greece Style

XI SYMBOL

So i have decide on doing a background check of this Xi symbol to gain more insight and it turn out Xi is a Chinese name and not only it serve as a name but there is also meaning behind it. Because in Chinese name Xi meaning hope,wish,rare and unique. which tied to my core values.

And not only that but it’s also a number 11 in Roman ( XI) and there is a meaning behind the number 11 in the spiritual letter. It’s a number of revelation, Inspiration, Visionary power.

As I found out the story behind the symbol Xi i decided to concentrate on the logo more because there is so much meaning behind it and it make the logo to be more meaningful.

I have modified the logo to be AFC with the symbol style to attaches to it, as you can see the symbol on the right is smaller on the original than the one i had on paper. I have create it to be a C with an F inside and the E on the left side is now an A but it still have the symbol feel to it. which is what I want it to be. it still share the same trace as the XI symbol but it’s not.

Logo Designs – Greece Style

I have always find Greece symbols to be unique and abstract and there is so much history behind it and i decide to Design the logo base on it. there’s a list of symbol within Greece alphabets and each of the letter have a meaning to it. I found a unique symbol that call Xi in Greece it looks like an E and a smaller e on the right I mediately design a logo base on it. but since the E is not relevant to AFC i have to modified the logo in a way that it have the AFC stead of Ee. So i play around with it and come up with a lot of different shape and the more i play around the better insight I gain on creating this unique logo.

Logo Design – Irish Texture Style

For this want i want to bring an icon from ireland into her logo so that i may feel Irish and traditional and that’s the very reason why I’ve brought in the clover leaf of Ireland. And the Celtic texture and style that have been imprinted on the new grange and the standing stone.
I choose to use this style because i want to make the logo feel unique and special so that it may stand out to the users eyes and outshine her competitors.

The shamrock logo is quite unique because the negative space within the centre of the shamrock is the shape of the bodhran that the shamrock leaf created, also the stem of the shamrock is a bodhran stick (the Beater) to form an illusion that it hitting the bodhran.

The other shape underneath that is her initial that form a star. and star meaning popular, well known and that she’s shining.

 

This Logo here is very unique in term of design and shape. it shape like a half of a bohdran. the A and F are form within the C to create the effects of the bohdran texture. it’s also look like a shape of the moon with the letters sitting on them.

Logo Designs – Negative Space Design Attempt

These logo here have a unique shape and symbol, I want to achieve the unique style of negative space design which will give Aimee a unique identity. I sketch it in a way that the letters are connecting together to form AFC ( Aimee Farell Courtney) and the C at the end to create the shape of a bohdran using it negative space.

During our meeting the panel help me to identify the unique selling point of Aimee business.

• It’s very easy to learn, an instrument that can pick up by anybody at any age especially kids.
• Top end style technique, even for people who have experienced in the Bohdran but have no knowledge of top end style, they can learn it from Aimee.
• Can be use within any genre of music.

 

And for next week i need to have ideas and sketches of logos. I need to come up with something unique and creative so that it may matches my core values.
